Click on the image below and you will be impressed with the sugar content of some foods. Sugar is not found only in cookies and chocolate but is well hidden in foods that you do not expect like soups, soft drinks and bread.

The recommended amount of sugar intake is 25g (around 6 teaspoons) for an adult of normal weight every day. To put this in context a typical can of fizzy drink contains about 9 teaspoons of sugar.
